Feed and posts
Learn how to create posts, share anonymously, support and comment, understand sensitive content warnings and find what you are looking for.
- How do I create a post?Tap create post, choose a community you belong to (or General) and write a title of up to 300 characters. The body is optional and supports simple formatting.
- How does anonymous sharing work? When you post anonymously, your identity is not shown to other community members. This free feature is central to Help My Mind.
- How does the Help My Mind feed work? The feed brings together posts from the communities you belong to. If it is empty, join communities or publish your first post.
- How do I support and comment on posts?Instead of public likes, Help My Mind uses support gestures. Tap support to show you read the post and care.
- How do I edit, hide or delete a post?In the options of your own post, you can edit the text, change the label or delete it. Deletion cannot be undone.
- What is the sensitive content warning?Posts that may contain accounts of suicide, self-harm or other difficult experiences appear behind a warning. You decide whether to view the content by tapping it.
- How do I search for posts, comments, communities and people?App search has tabs for posts, comments, communities, profiles, professionals and articles. In the posts tab, search looks at the title and the text; in the comments tab, only at comment text.
- Use the Share option on posts, stories and profiles to send the link through other apps.
- How do ads work on Help My Mind?To keep essential features free, Help My Mind shows occasional ads between posts and comments. At certain moments, such as after posting or commenting, a full-screen ad may appear.
